You can use Dilunett to remove the previous orange-brown coating, however, Dilunett is powerful enough to remove up to 8 coats of paint in one application, so any other coats of paint that lay underneath the new paint will also be removed. If you have prepped the surface and applied the Polytrol correctly but see next to no improvement, unfortunately, the pigments may just be too damaged to restore. If the surface treated has been exposed to many years of harsh UV rays and weathering, there is a chance that even Polytrol cannot restore it. When do I need to re-apply Polytrol? Apply Polytrol liberally to the surface, allow the Polytrol to work for 10-20 minute and then remove excess Polytrol with a clean lint free polishing cloth. Allow at least 12 hours for the product to dry.

With Gelcoat Restorer, drying times are short (usually less than 10 minutes) so section off your work in small, achievable areas.

I have a 22 year old Ifor Williams horsebox trailer and have been looking for months for a product that would cover / Treat or restore the faded painted side panels. Some of these panels had transfers applied by previous owners. These I had removed which left a darker silhouette on the panels where they had faded around them, which further made the trailer look shabby.
