I got it as a gift in Paris and even though didn't like it initially even without spraying, casual trying out at home proved to be exciting. Part of the Hollister Wave Collection, beautifully bright Hollister Wave for Her is a youthful fragrance inspired by the Californian sunset. I totally get the woody part moreover - and I don't know why - I even smell a very-very dry tobacco leaf as well. this is yet another scent that smells like an amalgamation of scents you smell as you're entering the mall or especially when nearing the macy's perfume dept. How to use: Hold the fragrance approx 5 inches away and spray your skin, focusing on pulse points (neck, wrists etc) and/or spray generously in front of you and walk through for a full coverage. I found it be long lasting (so far 6 hours and still going today) with just a couple spritzes and I got lots of compliments. Incidentally, Womanity is one of my favorite fragrances and Wave is NOTHING like Womanity, IMHO, as another reviewer suggested.

Like a zesty gust of wind, these accords awaken my spirit, reminiscent of the first rays of the morning sun caressing the tranquil waters of the ocean. Fragrance: 8/10 Similar, yes, but beautiful and unique enough to merit a staying-place in my collection. In the same vein as Versace Pour Homme, but to be honest I think this one just smells better overall. This frag is screaming "Summer", "beach" and "swimming pool"- the moment it jumps your neck and slaps your face a couple of times with its aquatic hands.Top notes are Yuzu, Bamboo Leaf and Grapefruit; middle notes are Lavender, Cypress and Neroli; base notes are Driftwood, Salt, Musk and Tonka Bean.

Wave for Him has a sparkling opening of yuzu enlivened with refreshing grapefruit and herbaceous bamboo leaves. I like that myself, Wave 1 is very light, like a body spray, good for the summer, but it will need topping up regularly as the staying power isn't as good as the scent. The base of this gorgeous floral and fruit sensation is a combination of solar notes, sandalwood and crystal amber.
