Description

Plato described Atlantis in the Critias and Timaeus dialogues 2,400 years ago. With the information previously passed on through generations by word of mouth, his are the most detailed accounts of the legendary Atlantis.

A pseudo theory by Fractal Source Research (FSR), proposes that the structure is the remnants of an advanced Antediluvian civilisation, namely the lost city of Atlantis, based on a comparison of measurements from the structure with the descriptions given by Plato. The confrontation is intriguing and raises many issues of which the most basic is the simple question: why has the story of Atlantis – compared with other ancient myths – maintained its popularity for so long? What is the essential attraction of the tale? There have been thousands of artifacts found in and around the Richat Structure. Most are 12,000 years and older, which puts them in the time frame of Atlantis. These items include arrowheads, spears, stone spheres, surfboards, oars, ship hulls, and more. A recent theory states that the Richat structure formed around 100Ma as the Pangea subcontinent separated, creating Africa, South America, and the Atlantic Ocean. Lithostratigraphy correlation has shown it. During this plate tectonic movement process, massive volcanic activities involved a Cretaceous age complex of alkaline igneous magma. These ancient structures may hold the key to our evolving consciousness, access to other dimensions of space and time, and our ability to transform our reality. Matias De Stefano, host of Gaia’s original series, Initiation recalls details of the Atlantean civilization from his own memories and describes the technology they would have used to build the pyramids.King Atlas, aka King of Atlantis, and namer of the Atlantic Ocean is the same person as Atlas of Mauritania. Herodotus’s map from 450 BC places Atlantis in the same place as the Eye. The Egyptians, the first tellers of the Atlantis story, were colonized by Atlantis. It’s through their lineages that we came to learn about Atlantis and its precise location. Also, here are some interesting coordinates you can look at on Google Earth that show what looks like remnants of structures if you’re interested.

You can visit the Richat structure location for tourism, geological, or archaeological studies. However, being expansive, you may not have a good visible impression. Also, being in a desert, conditions are extreme and sandy. So, don’t expect a luxurious trip. Other common names:The Eye of the Sahara, Blue Eye of the Sahara, Earth’s Eye or Eye of Africa, Eye of Mauritania, and Bull’s Eye of the Sahara. He further says that the dating of the death of Atlantis from 11,600 years ago “precisely” matches the date of the Younger Dryas, which was a climactic event which took place between 12,900 and 11,700 years ago. This event was a temporary return to glacial condition, with decreased average temperatures in the northern hemisphere. It primarily affected the norther latitudes, and North America more intensely.

11. The Eye of Osiris

Needless to say, many speculators believe that the Richat Structure is not merely a geological wonder, unique in the whole world, but the location of the legendary 11,000-year-old city of Atlantis. Here are just a few of the correlations between Atlantis, as described by Plato, and the Richat Structure 1. King Atlas The map above is from the Greek historian Herodotus, who’s credited for having made the most accurate mapping of the known inhabited world as of 450 BC. If you look at the bottom left, he has an area called “Atlantes.” This map is from 450 BC, but Atlantis disappeared in 9,600 BC, so how did he know where it was? One may argue that the location of Atlantis had been written down before and he simply wrote where it used to be, but it’s a bit of a flimsy explanation. Before adding one last pseudo-scientific piece of evidence to this argument it is important to note a quote from the great Travis Scott, “Seeing is believing”. I would largely agree with that sentiment. If there was such an event that happened, I would expect some sort of evidence I could physically see instead of relying on some old man’s book. However, using NASA’s WorldView imagery over the Sahara, you could make out striations that are consistent with erosions that cut across the region ( Figure 3 ). These erosion patterns are also consistent with the topographical map of the Sahara, following the regions with the lowest elevation. Many conspiracists and documentaries, including Jimmy Corsetti of Bright Insight, have attempted to link the Richat structure with the lost city of Atlantis ruins, described by Plato in 360 BCE. Plato described Atlantis with circles dividing land and water, i.e., concentric rings and Richat structure may appear as ruins. The Eye of the Sahara resembles a massive impact crater in the middle of Mauritania's Sahara Desert when seen from above. This crater-like anomaly is entirely terrestrial and has a diameter of 50 kilometers (30 miles). It is made up of a series of uniform ripples. In the 1960s, Gemini astronauts used this stunning ancient geological formation as a landmark. The Eye of the Sahara, also known as the Richat Structure, was initially thought to be a massive impact crater by geologists.

is the sum of years since the war occurred, as is recorded, between the [Atlantean] dwellers beyond the pillars of Heracles [the Strait of Gibraltar] and all that dwelt within them."

Let’s get to some of his specific claims. His primary piece of evidence is that the Richat structure is a series of concentric rings that precisely matches Plato’s description of Atlantis. The only real match, however, is the simple fact that both are concentric rings, which is not unlikely at all. This is a great example of interpreting a general similarity following basic geometry as if it were a specific match. Laughs] I was writing the Machu Picchu book, and I read this headline in the New York Times: “German discovers Atlantis in Africa.” I was like, what? The fact that someone could actually search for Atlantis and be taken seriously was weird. And, as for the opening to the ocean, Novela points out that the sand drift to the southwest Bright Insight refers to is actually more to west than south, as the YouTube channel claims. It also doesn’t open up to the ocean, which is to the west.
