The initial meeting of Jake and Chelsea is innovative and unique ensuring my attention was captured from the very beginning. Their banter and sizzling attraction had me smiling and swooning through so much of the story with their coupling totally glorious, passionate and worth the wait imposed on the reader. I keenly felt their frantic and intense love making and admired the way our female lead owns the situation. This book was definitely one of my favorites of the year. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun, light-hearted romance to swoon over and fall in love with! Trust me, this one's a winner!! When you’re a defense attorney in Washington, DC, you see firsthand how hard life can be, and that sometimes the only way to survive is to be harder. I have a reputation for being cold, callous, and intimidating—and that suits me just fine. In fact, it’s necessary when I’m breaking down a witness on the stand. Gah, I loved Sustained. From the first sentence, I was gone. I was consumed, I was hooked, I was gobbling it up like a desperate woman needing her book fix. This was a lovely short story about Jake and Chelsea's family with their 6 crazy kids creating chaos everywhere...and in the process of adding a new addition in the madness that kept them in their toes! Of course we see the other characters too and the epilogue was a bittersweet closure for this series, I really ENJOYED everything about it though!

I highly recommend this book and this series! Absolute tingles of joy, laughs and all over feel good read! Just writing this review makes me want to read it again. This novella continues their story and the story of the other characters. We see how everyone is doing and how Jake and Chelsea navigate extending their already large family. I didn’t think I could love them more, but I do.The book was also unique in my opinion. I rarely meet a romance book that basically covers an important family aspect, with funny and adorable kids being the center of it. What particularly impressed me was how Jake's profession became a huge part of the story. This tall, smart, and sexy attorney... He is so adept in his profession that he can really defend the poor little kids against the people who are trying to separate them from Chelsea. I can never get enough of him!

Now these children, they are complete handful, but they also show that the juice is worth the squeeze. This isn't the life Chelsea or Jake planned for themselves, but these kids add so much value and depth to them. They make them better people. I was so impressed with each of their characters and the development behind their personalities.
